Senior Program

2017 Senior Session June 26 - July 8 (please note, student orientation begins June 25)

ECCF Senior Session is for students that have completed 8th grade by June of 2017

Founded in 2005, Elm City ChamberFest High School String Session is a small, two-week intensive chamber music program for intermediate to advanced string players. Daily classes take place on parts of the Yale University Campus in New Haven, CT. Yale locations include the Divinity School, Stoeckel Hall, William L. Harkness Hall, Battell Chapel, as well as the Celentano Museum Academy (adjacent to Yale Divinity School). Students are housed in Yale Colleges under the care of ECCF Residential Staff, or local area students may opt to commute each day.

ECCF High School String Session students participate in weekly chamber music performances, daily coachings, weekly private lessons, guest artist and faculty master classes and string orchestra. Additionally, students can choose from a variety of electives and workshops including conducting, Jazz, Klezmer, theater improvisation, viola for violinists, recording, music theory, Yoga and Alexander Technique. The primary focus during lessons is on ensemble playing and repertoire, however, there are opportunities for solo repertoire with guest artist master classes
